Chairs are my favorite thing to build. They are the most difficult venture a furniture maker can get involved in. Not only must a chair be comfortable, it must be strong and aesthetically pleasing. For comfort, I sculpt and scoop out the wooden seats, put lumbar support in the back slats and soften all edges.
